Thousands of scientists agree: Trump’s #border wall would harm #biodiversity in the region. Building the wall would threaten the plant & animal habitats and compromise more than century’s worth of binational investment in #conservation: https://t.co/7SUeQSNpur pic.twitter.com/jJVLGUFRck— Mi Familia Vota (@MiFamiliaVota) July 27, 2018
This morning Center staff and supporters joined in solidarity with the community of Mission, TX to protect La Lomita Chapel and the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge against Trump’s wall, which would destructively cut through communities and ecosystems. . "Thousands of species contribute to a complex web of life in the borderlands, many of which — such as jaguar and ocelot — are found nowhere else in the United States. The borderlands are a melting pot of life and cultures, full of spectacular beauty and diversity. It would be a tragic mistake and a monumental injustice to sacrifice this unique landscape and the life it harbors for Trump’s cynical, unnecessary border security folly.” –Randy Serraglio, Southwest Conservation Advocate for the Center.

But @CustomsBorder's vision for border walls and enforcement zones would cut us off from it.
